Yorkshire and Lancashire. Our carrier network is built around the M62 corridor — Bradford, Leeds, Sheffield, Hull, Huddersfield, and Manchester. We know the roads, the RDCs, and the carriers that show up when they say they will.
Every carrier is checked against the DVSA register and Companies House before they handle a single load. No unverified operators.
One all-in rate, agreed before anything moves. No fuel surcharges after the fact, no handling fees, no surprises on the invoice.
You hear from us at collection, in transit, and at delivery. If anything changes, you hear from us before your customer does.
Every load is covered by our contingent cargo policy, bridging the gap between standard carrier liability and the actual value of your goods.

A freight broker is an intermediary who arranges the collection and delivery of goods on behalf of businesses using a network of verified, licensed carriers. We do not own vehicles or physically handle goods. Instead we manage the entire process, from finding the right carrier and negotiating rates to tracking the load and handling paperwork. You get a single point of contact for every shipment without the cost and complexity of managing multiple carrier relationships yourself.
Freight rates vary depending on the number of pallets, dimensions, weight, collection and delivery postcodes, and any special requirements such as timed delivery or tail lift. As a general guide, a single standard pallet moving within Yorkshire typically starts from around £80 to £120. A pallet moving from Yorkshire to London or the Midlands typically ranges from £150 to £280. Rates fluctuate with carrier availability and fuel costs. Contact us with your load details and we will come back with a firm all-in rate within 30 minutes.
LTL (Less Than Truck Load) means your goods share a vehicle with other customers' freight. You only pay for the space your pallets occupy. This is the most cost-effective option for businesses moving one to ten pallets at a time and is the most common type of load we arrange for SME manufacturers across Yorkshire. FTL (Full Truck Load) means your goods fill an entire vehicle exclusively. The vehicle goes directly from your collection point to the delivery destination without stopping for other loads. FTL is faster, reduces handling, and is suitable for larger volumes or high-value consignments.
Finding a reliable carrier involves verifying their Operator Licence on the DVSA register, checking their Companies House status, confirming they hold adequate Goods in Transit insurance, and assessing their fleet capability for your specific load type. This process takes time and expertise that most businesses do not have. As your freight broker, we handle all of this on your behalf. Every carrier in our network has been verified against the DVSA register and Companies House before being approved to handle your loads. You benefit from our vetted network without the time and cost of building it yourself.
Contingent cargo insurance is a policy held by us as your freight broker that covers the gap between what a carrier's own Goods in Transit insurance pays and the actual value of your goods. Under the RHA Conditions of Carriage, carrier liability is capped at £1,300 per tonne. If your goods are worth significantly more than that cap, your contingent cargo insurance bridges the shortfall. Every load we arrange is protected by our contingent cargo policy, giving you an additional layer of cover beyond standard carrier liability.
The RHA Conditions of Carriage 2024 is the standard contract that governs most UK road freight movements. Under these conditions, a carrier's maximum liability for damaged or lost goods is capped at £1,300 per tonne. This means if your 400kg pallet of goods worth £5,000 is damaged, the carrier's maximum legal obligation is only £520. The remaining £4,480 shortfall is not automatically covered by the carrier. This is why our contingent cargo insurance matters, as it covers that gap. Many businesses do not discover this cap until they make a claim and receive far less than expected. We make sure you are protected before anything moves.
